Toolbar Extras in version 1.4.0 introduced native WordPress Comments support for the first time.
What does that mean?
It just means that you now get various sub items depending on the comment status, like Pending, Approved etc. In my opinion, it makes a lot of sense. Especially, when you still get a lot of those blog comments and want see with one click what’s still pending and what is already approved. And, this works the same on the frontend and the admin area.
If you don’t want this integration we got you covered: in the General settings of Toolbar Extras this can be deactivated.
